Using the correct Upholstery Cleaning process
Ultra Steam Carpet & Upholstery’s cleaning process provides the safest, most effective cleaning available to extend the life of your investment. Your items are carefully inspected and identified of fabric & construction. This will also determine the cleanable properties of each piece before selecting the cleaning method best suited for the material. Such as dry foam shampoo or natural sponge low moisture cleaning methods. The most common is steam cleaning or the hot water extraction method.
Extend the life of your upholstery
Upholstered furniture needs to be regularly vacuumed or dusted to remove surface dust and grit that builds up. If possible, rotate and reverse cushions on couches and chairs. Fading and wear will usually be less noticeable. Also get window treatments if your upholstery is exposed to heavy sunlight. No amount of cleaning will restore color fading.
To prevent soil from damaging the fabrics, have your upholstered pieces professionally cleaned every 12 to 18 months. Fabric protector should be applied after each cleaning. With children or pets in your home, more frequent cleaning is advised.
